Justice Reform: Changing the Paradigm of Community Policing

The National Association of Black Law Enforcement Officers is pleased to announce that they will present a three-day training conference entitled “Justice Reform: Changing the Paradigm of Community Policing”, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Two Albany Street, New Brunswick, NJ, September 28-September 30, 2022.

Featured workshops will cover such issues as “Fair and Impartial Policing Through Understanding Implicit Bias; After The Bang-An Anatomy of A Fatal Use of Force; Karen: Weaponizing the Police-Profiling by Proxy; Prevention of Police Misconduct Through Ethical Decision Making; Conflict Engagement For Law Enforcement; Civilian Oversight As A Police Accountability Mechanism”, and other topics designed to provide law enforcement officers with greater tools, knowledge and skills for interacting with people, particularly in communities of color. Full workshop descriptions and presenter information are available at A special three (3) year certification program in Mental Health First Aid will also be presented.

Early registration for this program is at the rate of $300.00, per person, through August 27, 2022, after which time registration is at the rate of $325.00 per person. All registrations are open to members of law enforcement, community groups, businesses, organizations, and institutions. The Mental Health First Aid Certification workshop is an additional $40.00 per person, with registrations limited to the first 40 registrants.

Pre-registration is required for this event. Registration may be completed online at using your credit or debit card, payable through PayPal. NOT LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 17, 2022. NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THAT DATE.
